Introduction

Insieme Arti – Journal for Performing Arts is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic quality, integrity, and ethical publishing. Every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes a rigorous Single-Blind Peer Review process to ensure originality, scholarly merit, methodological soundness, and relevance to the field of performing arts.

Type of Peer Review

The journal follows a Single-Blind Peer Review system, in which:

• The identities of the reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.
• Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.
• Reviewers know the identity of the authors.

Initial Editorial Assessment

Upon submission, each manuscript is first evaluated by the Editorial Office to determine whether it:

• Falls within the scope of the journal.
• Adheres to the journal's author guidelines.
• Meets the required standards of formatting and academic writing.
• Demonstrates originality and scholarly relevance.
• Passes plagiarism screening using appropriate plagiarism detection software.

Note: Manuscripts that do not satisfy these preliminary requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or rejected without peer review.

External Peer Review

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial screening are assigned to an independent expert reviewer with relevant subject expertise.

Review Criteria: Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

• Originality and contribution to knowledge.
• Significance and relevance to the field of performing arts.
• Research methodology and academic rigor.
• Literature review and theoretical framework.
• Data analysis and interpretation (where applicable).
• Quality of arguments and discussion.
• Organization, clarity, and coherence of writing.
• Ethical compliance.
• Accuracy of references and citations.

Review Outcomes

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor may make one of the following decisions:

• Accept without revisions – Manuscript is approved for publication.
• Accept with minor revisions – Manuscript is accepted pending minor corrections.
• Major revisions required – Substantial revisions needed before reconsideration.
• Resubmit for further review – After substantial revision, resubmission required.
• Reject – Manuscript is not suitable for publication.

Note: The final publication decision rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief after considering the reviewers' reports.

Revision Process

Authors receiving revision requests should submit:

• A revised manuscript.
• A detailed point-by-point response explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed.

Where necessary, revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are selected based on:

• Subject expertise.
• Academic qualifications.
• Research and publication experience.
• Absence of conflicts of interest.

Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality, provide objective and constructive feedback, and complete reviews within the requested timeline.

Editorial Decision

The Editor evaluates reviewer comments and makes the final decision independently. In cases where reviewer recommendations conflict significantly, the manuscript may be sent to an additional reviewer before a final decision is made.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts received for review are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not disclose, distribute, or use unpublished material for personal research or any other purpose.

Conflict of Interest

Editors and reviewers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could influence the review process. Individuals with conflicts of interest will not participate in the evaluation of the manuscript.

Publication Ethics

The journal follows internationally accepted publication ethics and expects authors, reviewers, and editors to uphold the highest standards of honesty, transparency, and academic integrity. Any allegations of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, image manipulation, or unethical research practices will be investigated in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.

Peer Review Timeline

The journal aims to complete the peer review process as efficiently as possible:

Summary
